For families, the cottage is set only a short drive from many local family attractions including the South Lakes Wild Animal Park, Barrow's Dock Museum, the beach and sand dunes at Roanhead as well as the Haverthwaite steam railway and many stunning family walks. Both Lake Windermere and Lake Coniston are short drives away making Brookside Cottage an ideal base to explore the Lake District
